The Invisible-in-Canal (IIC) hearing aid is made to custom fit within the eardrum, enabling it to be inserted farther into the ear canal than other styles. Depending on the anatomy and structure of your ear canal will determine how far in the device can be inserted, the further in it can be inserted the more likely it is to be invisible.
This close proximity to the eardrum allows for crisp, clear, natural sound quality with less amplifier output, meaning better battery life. This is important because the small size of the device does not allow for a large battery or controls.
